VLADIMIR KOYLAZOV RECEIVED SCI-TECH ACADEMY AWARD OSCAR

On 11 February 2017 at the ceremony in Los Angeles, USA, the Bulgarian Vladimir Koylazov has received the most prestigious award in the movie industry, given by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was awarded in the category Scientific & Technical Achievement for the original concept, design and implementation of the V-Ray technology, which is used for imagery in productions such as Game of Thrones, Doctor Strange, Dead Pull and many others.

At the 13th ROYAL BALI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, 13th  – 15th  of December 2015,  in Bali, Indonesia, the Bulgarian feature film by Kostadin Bonev “THE SINKING OF Sozopol” won the Saraswati Baliwood Award for international film.

THE BULGARIAN COMPOSER AND FILM COMPOSER BORIS KARADIMCHEV WAS AWARDED BY THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE

The prestigious Golden Century Award by the Ministry of Culture was bestowed on the Bulgarian composer and film composer of hundreds Bulgarian classic feature and animated films Boris Karadimchev at the Official concert for his 80th Birthday Anniversary.

At the 6th National Students in Art Festival 2013, in the Competition for students' documentary and feature films, the 16th minutes short by Lyubo Yonchev "Dangerously Close" won the Award for Best feature film.

“EUROPOLIS: THE TOWN OF THE DELTA” AWARDED IN LOS ANGELЕS

 

At the International Los Angeles Reel Film Festival in December 2009 the Bulgarian documentary "Europolis: The Town of the Delta" by Kostadin Bonev won Honorable Mention by the Jury. The film was nominated also in 6 of 9 categories: Best Documentary Feature; Best Documentary Feature Director (Kostadin Bonev); Best Documentary Feature Concept (script-writer Vladi Kirov); Best Documentary Feature Cinematography (Konstantin Zankov and Dimitar Mitov); Best Documentary Feature Editing (Toma Vasharov); Best Documentary Feature Original Score (Nikolai Ivanov).


"ANYTHING FOR YOU" WON SPECIAL MENTION OF THE JURY AT POTENZA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The Bulgarian short film "Anything for You" by Toma Waszarow won Special Mention of the Jury at Potenza International Film Festival 2009 in Italy.

"A LETTER TO SANTA CLAUS" WON THE SPECIAL PRIZE OF THE JURY AT THE III OPEN SANKT-PETERBURG CHILDREN FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

The Bulgarian TV film "A Letter to Santa Claus" – director Ivaiylo Djambazov, screenplay Ralitsa Fillipova, won the Special Prize of the Jury at the III Open Sankt-Peterburg Children Festival of the Arts in the beginning of November 2007 for best film about parents' and children's relations.

President of the Jury was the well known Russian actress Ludmila Chursina.


THE BULGARIAN FILM "A COLD COKE IN THE DAYS OF THE COLD WAR" WON THE MAIN AWARD "BULGARIAN EUROPE 2007"

At the Media Festival BULGARIAN EUROPE 2007 in Russe the Bulgarian documentary film "A Cold Coke in the Days of the Cold War" by Irina Nedeva, Evgenia Atanasova and Damyan Petrov won the Main Award "Bulgarian Europe 2007".
